Dallas Seavey in the driver’s seat for winning his third
Iditarod in four years – only interrupted by his father, Mitch, winning in
2013.
Dallas is approaching White Mountain, where all teams must
take a mandatory 8 hour rest before the final 88 miles to Nome. His lead over
his father Mitch, Aaron Burmeister, Jessie Royer, and Aliy Zirkle appears
unstoppable. Stranger things have happened, however, as the weather on the
coast is never certain.
Jason Campeau appears to have a lock on Rookie of the Year.
The back of the pack are all out of Huslia.
Eight teams are out of the race.
