Hugh Neff leads Brent Sass out of Circle City, as the lead pack heads to the Yukon River. The river is always different and can present many challenges, from jumbled ice, open water and whiteout conditions. The next checkpoint, Eagle, is 160+ miles away, so it will be a long run. Allen Moore and Sonny Lindner followed about an hour later.
Misha Pedersen spent a long time on Eagle Summit recovering a lost dog, but she has finally made it to Central.
